Turkish Consulate, Los Angeles, does NOT assist non-Turkish citizens with their power of attorney applications. The Consulate recommends non-Turkish citizens to legalize their power of attorney with an Apostille certificate from a secretary of state. Please note that there will NOT be a Turkish Consulate approval, Turkish Consulate signature, or stamp on your POA when your POA is legalized with an Apostille certificate.
Turkish citizens, who are not willing to go to the Turkish Consulate in person or who cannot travel to the Consulate in person, can get a power of attorney with an Apostille certificate.
We can assist you with the entire process. Your power of attorney must:
- be in English,
- bear a wet signature,
- have your passport photo.
We’ll ask you to provide a power of attorney text. We can prepare your POA as well. If we prepare your power of attorney, we’ll ask you to provide information such as a list of powers you’d like to issue, a copy of your valid passport, a copy of your agents’ ID, your residence address, and other documents such as title deeds, and inheritance certificates if needed.
We fulfill the recommendations of the Turkish Consulate. Our services include:
- preparing a power of attorney within the Turkish Consulate specifications,
- emailing you the POA for your signature ( YOU must take the POA to a local notary public, sign it in front of a notary, and mail the document to us with passport-size photos)
- obtaining an affidavit of translation, notary approval, and an Apostille approval
- mailing your documents to a U.S. address via USPS Priority
We assist Turkish citizens in their power of attorney application with an Apostille certificate.
